You and your maintenance teammates will be responsible for all production and industrial refrigeration equipment, as well as our electrical and controls systems. You'll also work closely with our engineers and production members to make important upgrades to our production machinery, as innovate and grow our business.

Position Overview: This position ensures the proper maintenance and operational status of all plant Refrigeration, Boiler and associated utility systems and equipment in the Watertown facility. Affected equipment includes the plant Refrigeration System, Boilers, HVAC systems, plant water distribution system and support systems that are utilized by the plant.

Responsibilities:

Operation of all Plant Refrigeration, HVAC, Boiler and Utility systems.
Preventative Maintenance and repair of all plant Refrigeration, HVAC, Boiler and Utility equipment and maintenance of plant production equipment as needed.
Troubleshoot electrical problems on all plant Refrigeration, HVAC, Boiler and utility equipment.
Assist in maintaining the plants PSM program.
Assist in maintaining the plants HAZMAT program and equipment.
Train / Assist other members on Refrigeration / HVAC basics, acting as mentor for the development of Qualified Refrigeration Technicians.
Mentor others in the Safe Operating Practices and repairs to facility systems.
Research parts needed for work / repairs and properly utilize the Parts Inventory and Work Order Systems.
Cover areas of the plant as assigned by the Department Coach.

Skills / Knowledge / Personal Qualities (based on responsibilities):

High School Diploma and Technical training in related area.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Industrial Refrigeration and Boiler field with solid skills in electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Skills with PLC's are desirable.
Completion of Class I and Class II Industrial Refrigeration School with RETA Certification.
Completion of an Industrial Ammonia PSM course and Certification.
Willing to travel off-site for additional training and certification as required.
Ability to understand P&ID's and assist with system designs.
Understanding of PSM regarding Compliance Guidelines and Requirements
Experienced in reading Blueprints and Schematics.
Assist with system Projects and related maintenance.
Must become a Member of the Emergency Response Team and be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test and Physical.
Must be properly groomed / shaved and able to wear a Respirator as required.
Computer skills in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and SAP.
Available to work overtime as required.
Candidate should be teamwork oriented with good communication skills.

Environmental Conditions: Work is performed in all weather conditions inside or outside a plant environment with animals present, subject to heights.

Physical Demands: Able to work on rough terrain in all weather conditions and lift 70lbs. unassisted. Full range of body motion required: standing, kneeling and upper body twisting.
