NeuroTrauma ICU at Emanual was remodeled in 2013. It is a 28,000 square foot, 24-bed unit that provides state-of-the-art care and achieves some of the highest success rates for ICUs in the United States. We admit patients as a nationally recognized Level One Trauma Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and as a respiratory failure & ECMO specialty center. We also admit and care for a large and variable medical-surgical critical care population. These patients are at high risk of developing life-threatening complications as a result of multiple trauma, neuro trauma, cardiovascular surgery, complex general surgery, neurosurgery, respiratory failure, and/or complicated medical processes. We have also been the primary COVID ICU at Emanuel since 2020.
