About the Job: Our experts are responsible for integrated weapon system management, from inception to retirement. As a Quality Assurance / Technical Writing (QA) Specialist, you will support the MM III Systems Directorate in updating Hardness Data Manuals (HDM) and regenerating Design Analysis Reports (DARs) to capture sustainment data resulting from years of Civil Engineering additions and system modifications to MM III operational sites. A qualified candidate will:

Engage with the Regeneration Team and Engineering Team for HDM/DAR Document Review and Conversion activities, ensuring quality control and compliance with data governance and practice standards.

Regularly receive draft PDF files from the Document Review and Regeneration Team, and then perform comprehensive reviews using the initial baseline file and current style & format guide, entering any comments/questions using PDF commenting tools. Upon completion of the review, return the draft PDF file to the Document Review and Regeneration Team with any comments and update the tracking documentation to record receipt, start/stop, and return dates.

Verify completeness of converted data against the initial baseline file, and verify the required style and format edits are included. Resolve identified issues via coordination with the Engineering and/or the Document and Conversion Teams. Ensure all HDM/DAR documents are one-hundred percent (100%) reviewed prior to the delivery to the customer.

Create new documents or edit documents using previous versions for review by other members of the QA team. Work independently in an on-site classified computer lab to perform similar tasks classified documents as required or requested.

Complete other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

This position is located on Hill AFB, Utah. Due to COVID-19, this position may be granted a temporary telework option.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Education and Experience:

7 years of directly related experience. At least 3 years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.

Required Skills:

Obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and organize daily tasks with little or no supervision

Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with customers, team members, external vendors, and various levels of management

Must have experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or similar desktop software

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Skills and Education:

Experience with writing or reviewing military technical data manuals or technical orders
Experience with the Atlassian Jira suite of agile work management solutions
Existing Secret clearance
Experience working with ICBM or other nuclear weapon systems
Associates Degree plus 10 years of related work experience, or Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree plus 7 years of related work experience
