Project Manager St Albans Negotiable DOE Recruit12 Construction has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join a well-established family-run construction company, that specialise in the creation of high-quality turnkey facilities in partnership with some of the UK s leading developers, occupiers, retailers, and logistics businesses. The role is to oversee the planning and successful delivery of projects and provide the main point of contact for the Client team throughout the process. As a Project Manager your responsibilities will include the following: Planning the successful delivery of the project at hand Close management of the site management and engineering team Reporting operational & financial progress on projects The main point of contact for the Client team Directing the labor, plant, staff, and equipment to achieve project completion on time, to specification, and within budget Overseeing the daily supervision and co-ordination of on-site staff, sub-contractors, plant, and materials including Information management Ensuring that staff and operatives are managed and led effectively by developing the skills and attitudes of managers Maintaining strict quality control procedures Ensuring compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations Responsible for the overall management of programming Overseeing the management of the day-to-day working on site Managing site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets Conducting regular site safety checks, toolbox talks, and inductions Any other duties as reasonably requested Carry out regular 1:1 meetings and reviews with your team members ensuring team members are clear on expectations, and how they are doing, and are supported to reach their potential. Monitor your team s attendance and holiday requests To work to the Company s quality standards and performance criteria Co-operate on matters of health and safety and follow the training provided. Take reasonable care of personal and other people s health and safety at all times Ensure that department operations are conducted in accordance with the Company s Health & Safety policy. Ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments are conducted considering both staff and non-staff and introduce measures to reduce the risks to as low a level as reasonably practical Encourage and support your team in enhancing their performance by providing direction, regular feedback and development opportunities Any other duties consistent with the role of Project Manager as may be required from time to time To be successful in the position of a Project Manager, you will need the following: Experience working on Industrial/Logistics projects would be advantageous A degree in Construction Project Management, Construction Management, or similar (or currently undertaking qualification for trainee positions) Ambition and drive Self-motivation and pro-activity Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Good organizational skills The ability to meet strict deadlines Good negotiation skills The ability to work on your own initiative The ability to drive would be beneficial as the role is site-based Recruit12 is a recruitment specialist working within the Construction, Automotive, Aerospace, and World Class manufacturing sectors.
