We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a national housing organisation for full time, temporary to permanent Adult Learning Disability Support Workers. We are looking for several caring and compassionate females to work on a fulltime basis in a supported living service in Ystrad Mynach. This service is the home of 4 ladies with learning disabilities that require support with all aspects of daily living such as personal care needs, bathing, budgeting, shopping and support with chosen activities in the community. Job Title: Adult Learning Disability Support Workers. Location: Ystrad Mynach (CF82) (CF82) Salary: £10.05 Temp - £19,336 Permanent Shifts Pattern - Morning/mid shift/ afternoons/ wake nights shifts when staff are on annual leave. Morning Shift - starts between 7:00am Mid Shift - Vary between 10am starts and 3pm and starts at 10:30pm starts and finish 9pm Afternoon Shift - between 2:30pm/3:30pm/4pm - finish at 9pm or 11pm if doing a sleep in shift. The successful candidate will complete a full-time 12 week temporary placement before continuing onto a permanent full time contract with our client. Immediate starts are available! You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals. The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Adults Learning Disability Support Worker A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning disabilities Empathetic, caring and resilient nature At least 6 months experience of working within a social care setting Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one The right to work in the UKIf you are enthusiastic, resilient and motivated, wanting to make a difference in the lives of adults with learning difficulties, we would love to hear from you!
